There’s a group of old people on my tram dressed as elves. I don’t know what to think anymore
I just looked at my shifts for they couple of weeks, and it had come to my attention I have but one day off in the next 11 days.
Just awaiting my bus home from what was a truly beautiful way to spend an evening.
Neko Case was so very brilliant, I can’t believe how small she is, and my her voice live is captivating.
But her band man , they are some crazy talented people. The range in instruments and styles throughout the show was nothing short of mesmerising.
I need to start a band. The talent in that room
So yeah the support act Lucy Wainwright Roche just finished and she was really lovely. Nice slightly folky acousticness
She is part of the Wainwright clan, daughter of Loudon, sister of Rufus and Martha. Much of her set was her telling stories and chatting with the crowd, but the music was all jolly lovely also.
May have to pick up some of her records
Now for the Case
It’s crazy how different this place is from when I saw the Mountain Goats here.
The stage has gone they’ve added a bunch of new seats close up it feels much more intimate.
I can see my seat from that show and it is now row g, when I was here it was c
I like the change
I shouldn’t have had that ale, but it was all Christmassy, the doors to the gig haven’t opened even yet and I could quite happily take a nap
